Alberto Zanetto, MD is a gastroenterologist and transplant hepatologist at the Gastroenterology and Multivisceral Transplant Unit, Department of Surgery, Oncology, and Gastroenterology, Padua University Hospital, Padua, Italy. Dr. Zanetto received his MD and GI trainings at Padua University, Italy. After completing his GI fellowship, Dr. Zanetto was awarded the 2018 American Association for the Study of The Liver Foundation (AASLDF) Clinical and Translational Research Fellowship and moved to Yale School of Medicine for 2 years. He then returned to Padua where he continues his clinical and research activities. He is currently enrolled in a PhD program in clinical and experimental oncology and immunology at Padua University. His main research interests include complications of cirrhosis and portal hypertension, viral hepatitis, coagulopathy of liver disease, and liver transplantation. He is the author of more than 50 papers in peer reviewed journals.
